This is an organizational and motivational meeting. The plan for the semester is to learn about classical and Siegel modular forms. We will roughly follow the book The 1,2,3 of Modular Forms, specifically the articles of Zagier and van der Geer. I'll motivate the subject and we'll plan future talks.
